The conventional underfloor wheel lathe PKTS-2 is designed for turning railway wheel sets profile on the railcars, electric locomotives, diesel locomotives.
The conventional underfloor wheel lathe consist from the following parts:
- Machine bad
- left and right support for longitudinal and cross feeds
- hydraulic jacks to lift and hold the wheelset
- wheelset rotation drive (for wheelsets without an electric traction motor)
- electric cabinet
Advantages of the machine
- Simple design of the machine and its ease of maintenance
- Low maintenance
- Not a high price and quick payback of the machine
