The machine model PKTS-3T is a special underfloor wheelset lathe with a support for turning trams wheel sets profile with diameter of wheel-sets on tread 650-720mm and gauge 1000mm (or any by customers request).
The design is involves the installation of the machine under the rails space.
The movable rails of the machine are a continuation of the depot track.
In accordance with its purpose, wheel lathe model PKTS-3T has the following turning features:
- Turning around the band profile of the wheelset;
- Turning of individual sections of the profile of the shroud to eliminate wheelset local defects.
